I have had the pleasure to share the stage with Richard in 'Showtune' and his recent production of 'Richard Skipper Celebrates May Flowers' and on both occasions, I had so much fun! I also know Richard personally as a sensitive and caring soul and our conversations have always been interesting, lively and left me wanting more time to talk. What a talented group of performers Richard gathered. Richard has a wonderful, welcoming and friendly stage presence and after he performed a few songs(wonderfully) he let the other performers shine as well and conducted lovely interviews with each one of them. You cannot go wrong seeing any of Richard's shows!
City, State: New York, New York Comments: This merry month of May, began with Richard Skipper asking me to sing at his Richard Skipper Celebrates! at the Laurie Beechman Theater (NYC). I accepted, and I found myself thrust into the middle of New York's very exciting cabaret world, performing in front of the creme de la creme. Richard is the consummate host, who makes his guest very comfortable, and brings out their hidden talents. After our cabaret performance, the world seemed a little different because of the enigmatic Richard Skipper's influence. Thank You Richard for making my world a helluva lot brighter. He did an exceptional job Promoting My SHELDON HARNICK Tribute Show at DON'T TELL MAMA, as well as introducing my MAC Nominated CD to a much wider audience! He featured me, my show, and CD on a 1-hour radio interview, filling in for John Lombardi...John's regular show, Lounging with Lombardi, at CITY WORLD RADIO. What a fun, spontaneous and joyful hour. I already knew Richard was fantastic as Performer/Host/Emcee, and as a Rep and Promoter, but it was wonderful to experience how he led the interview with such energy and confidence, navigating smoothly with sudden twists and turns and spontaneous questions, causing me to have to dig deeper. I hope this opens the door for many more RADIO interviews, perhaps his own show; for your passion and love for singers and artists, and his skill as interviewer, can't help but help open new doors! I truly hope many others will be blessed by his expertise and commitment to the Arts!
