City, State: new york, new york Comments: I attended Richard's interview of Marge Champion - an icon and inspiration for us all - last night. The whole evening was top drawer - totally captivating. NO ONE was checking their email or texting. Richard did an amazing job at asking poignant and interesting questions, while interjecting humor. All of this made for a very intimate, entertaining, and informative evening. Thank you, Richard, for all the heart and hard work you put into everything you do! Judge Billie Colombaro (ret.)
City, State: Weston, Ct Website: www.lionhawkproductions.com Comments: It was an evening of memories, magic and grace! I am sure many of you remember well the legendary Marge & Gower Champion. Richard Skipper did an eloquent job of interviewing Marge Champion last night. He has a gift for knowing what to ask - and more, when to give the star her moments to remember so many grand stories for the eager listeners who were present. He offers her to us as the gift she is. Marge Champion brought so much to us last night, not unlike she always did on the big screen or stage. One can readily understand why Marge and the late Gower Champion remain at the top of the greatest dancers! It was an evening one will hold close to the heart for some time to come. She glows! She recalls the studio days with a vibrant, passionate excitement- and has a sense of humor that kept the audience warmed with rich laughter. She has a true warmth that wraps itself within a powerful sense of self, of talent and stardom. I am so thankful to have been there in her presence and to talk with her was a treasure indeed! She wants greater shows, beautiful true dance talent to rise and honor the arts. I, for one, intend to help soar with that ambition. Thank you, my friend, Richard Skipper for celebrating such a talent and spirit! I hope at ninety-five years old, I maintain just a bit of her energy, passion and magic!
City, State: New York, NY Comments: Thank you Richard for your interview celebrating Marge Champion on October 5, 2014 at the Spiral Theater. Marge is still elegantly beautiful, with so many wonderful stories of Hollywood and Broadway. I'm looking forward to your future events.
City, State: NY, NY Website: www.ColinMegaro.com Comments: I was lucky enough to be invited to Barnes and Noble to see Richard Skipper sit down with Lesley Ann Warren. Lesley was in NYC to promote the original "Cinderella" being remastered. The evening was brilliant. Richard makes you feel as if you are a fly on the wall in his living room during his interviews. He is funny, engaging and his guests open up about their incredible talents. I can't wait to see more of Richard in the future. Colin Megaro, NYC
City, State: NYC Comments: Richard Skipper is fast becoming the quintessential interviewer of our time. The lost art of in depth research was clearly found in the interesting questions asked of the ageless Lesley Ann Warren at the Cinderella fiftieth anniversary DVD release by Shout Records. Richard is able to extract entre nous tidbits of information from his subject , making the audience feel as if they are sitting with old friends in the comfort of their own home. Lesley Ann Warren treated the standing room only crowd to three renditions of the songs from the Rodgers and Hammerstein show proving her star still shines brightly ! Ellen Easton, RED WAGON PRESS |
