Regarding your blog at http://richardskipper.blogspot.com/2011/06/happy-pride-2011.html:
Extraordinary! I love all of the show business people who you mention and know. I also love the rainbow over the Emerald City and your celebration of gay marriage in N.Y. You also enlighten young gays about the Stonewall riots. I learned a lot about this from older gays as I was a child in the 70s and 80s and a teen for most of the 90s. Nice job!

It is so wonderful, delightful and delicious, to read Richard's blogs. An intelligent and entertaining voice for those of us in the Theatre World.
I am the Artistic Director for the Suncoast AIDS Theatre Project and Richard has been very helpful in assisting us in our mission to help raise awareness, provide assistance, and perpetuate a life of dignity for those affected and infected by HIV and AIDS. On behalf of the many people with HIV/AIDS that he has helped us to help, Thank You!

Last night I had the wonderful opportunity of seeing Richard Skipper perform not one, but two contrasting roles in an industry showcase performance presented by Paula J. Riley. Having seen Richard perform three times now, in three VERY different roles, I am highly impressed by his range. The first time I saw him was in his Off-Broadway show: "Richard Skipper as Carol Channing" this past December. He completely commanded my attention the moment he walked onto the stage. I thought I was indeed watching Ms. Channing herself. Then last night in the original one act play "Wake" written by Mark Amenta, I had the chance to see his dramatic side. His performance was flawless. He then performed in Jules Feiffer’s 60’s satire "Little Murders" demonstrating his comedic ability. This man’s ambit has no boarders. He is truly one of the most talented individuals on the face of this planet. Richard Skipper is a gifted actor and a true STAR!

When Broadway Cares sent me an invitation to last week's private screening of Carol Channing: Larger than Life, I had no doubt that Richard Skipper would be featured somewhere along the line in 30-foot by 50-foot splendor.
Well, the screen was quite a bit smaller than I expected. Nevertheless, congratulations are in order since Richard garnered more screen time than Tommy Tune and Chita Rivera.........combined.
I was a bit irritated, though, when the on-screen identifier referred to Richard as a Carol impersonator. Christopher Peterson impersonates. Alan Palmer impersonates. Richard......becomes, which, although it might be considered by some to be a subtle difference (I disagree), is what sets his portrayal apart from all the rest of the Carol wannabes and puts Richard in a class by himself. And not intending to demean the performances of the others, I'm nonetheless always pleased to be able to tell people that I have seen many of Richard's appearances.

Hello Darling Richard! I know it's been a long time since we touched base but I wanted to let you know that I had the opportunity (finally!) to attend a BCEFA screening of Carol's film last night and it was SO terrific!! You looked wonderful and spoke so articulately as usual & I'm so happy for you about being part of it as I know it meant the world to you :) What a loving and wonderful tribute the film is! I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was delighted to meet Dori Berenstein afterwards as well. What a lovely evening! Anyway... I just wanted to share that with you. I hope all is amazing as I know that it is and I look forward to seeing you one way or another soon!
Much love, Lisa Raze :) xoxo
