City, State: NYC Comments: I saw Richard Skipper as Carol Channing during the post-Christmas blizzard and although the weather may have deterred some attendance, Richard made everyone in the audience feel like we were at a party at which each of us was vitally important! His ability to "channel" Channing in song, as well as to speak extemporaneously as her during a live Q & A is uncanny and bespeaks his enormous affection and respect for her. It also shows her obvious regard for him which allows him such personal knowledge and accessibility. Richard is funny, touching and has incredible pipes! I laughed (a lot!), I cried and was highly entertained. Richard performs with such generosity, such heart and such spontaneity; there are precious few performers today who are so alive in the moment. -Lenore Stefanik, actress/singer/coach
City, State: Johannesburg, South Africa Comments: I so enjoyed the opening night performance of Richard Skipper's show, "Carol Channing in Concert". He portrays Carol so amazingly, it was hard not to believe that it was Carol herself on that stage. And the songs and chatter, all took me back to when I saw my first musical ever as a lad of 15 - Hello Dolly. Thanks Richard for such a classy act. May it run for a long time!! Comments: I was just knocked out by Richard's Carol concert at St. Lukes (not the St. James)!! I've loved Carol Channing since I was but a lad, and his patter and songs brought it all back. BRAVO, Richard!!!! John McDaniel
