The purpose of the actor is to embody, re-create the image intended, to bring the audience into a new reality. This is what is happening at St. Luke's Theatre on 46th Street with Richard Skipper's CAROL CHANNING IN CONCERT. However I have to say Mr. Skipper goes beyond a new reality-he is Carol Channing!

I had a wonderful time at the show yesterday - Richard Skipper is a brilliant, wonderful performer, and it's as if he truly channels Ms. Channing. It is a great tribute to her & her career, and a most entertaining show. A must see!

Mr. Skipper!!! Oooops! I mean Carol (that IS what they call you, isn't it? (heeheehee) I had the best time at your show tonite! Of course I knew the music/vocals would be outstanding but the comedy was sensational. I laughed so much & loved every minute. Thank you so very much for a truly memorable evening.

I attended Richard Skipper's first show in 2011 on January 2nd and was absolutely enchanted with the performance. Such wonderful singing and so tremendously entertaining. As a salute to Carol it is flawless and for just plain fun it can't be beat. I found myself smiling from beginning to end. The disarming charm that defines Carol Channing was abundant and the innocent, wide eyed appeal was more than evident. Treat yourself to a wonderful time and see this show while you can.

Richard Skipper is back where he belongs....at the St. Lukes Theater wowing audiences as Carol Channing in his new off-Broadway show!
There is no one who can make an audience feel more comfortable and, at the show I attended, he had them in the palm of his hand. A wonderful trio accompanies Richard as he sings the songs that Carol made famous on Broadway in her long career. Don't miss this show!
