Carol Channing's interview at Barnes and Noble last Friday (7/23/10) was wonderful to say the least. To see her and her husband Harry was a great experience. But I also tip my hat to this thoughtful intellect of the New York entertainment scene who has his pulse on what is really happening in the New York entertainment world, Richard Skipper.
Richard did a wonderful job interviewing her. I can understand why Miss Carol loves this man.
As a sports announcer and emcee myself, I appreciate Richard's attitude and attention to detail.
Richard is one of Broadway's and New York cabaret's important voices. He gives a stage and a platform to those in the know, the movers and the shakers.
He has taken on the responsibility of calling attention about what a great Constitution the performing arts are. Something, sadly is missing from the everyday media coverage.
It's not the celebrity that Richard cares about but the long range impact.
As the great baseball pitcher Dizzy Dean used to say, "It ain't bragging if you can do it."
Richard Skipper does it!
He has my support and so do a lot of the patrons of cabaret and Broadway.
Richard has the passion--you don't learn this..you are born with it.
Always stop by this site when you want to REALLY know!

Great evening Friday night (7/23/10) at BARNES & NOBLE with you, Carol Channing and Harry Kullijian. You did a marvelous job as moderator and kept the questions flowing and allowed Harry to talk about his and Carol’s work to promote the arts in schools. It was a very enjoyable evening and enjoyed your work at the event have a nice day, Paul NY

Dear Richard,
You were a perfect host for Carol Channing's event this evening. Jim and I brought two friends with us and they thought you were warm and respectful! You have a true skill and you're always thinking of others. For example, you moved your chair back so people on the side could see better and everyone was appreciative. Thank you also for introducing us to Harry. He was a joy to talk to as well as an inspiration. I'm so glad we were able to make it. And we are so glad to know you. YOU need your own talk show!!!
Sincerely,
Mary

Hi Richard....unfortunately, I'm down in Atlanta, but I've seen you a few times in FL (Jimmy Ferraro/Dee Etta's theatre, and the Palladium in St. Pete). You are AWESOMELY INCREDIBLE!! Anyone who hasn't seen you, NEEDS to go, because they'd be in for a wonderful treat! Maybe if you ever get down here to the Atlanta area, I'd definitely see your show again!
