As my partner of 30 years and I are married in Provincetown this year on August 20th I will be remembering our meeting and your show at the Crown and Anchor a few years ago. You were so gracious to us and your show was fabulous. Thanks for the memories!

Dear Richard,
It was my extreme pleasure to have met you at the Iguana Lounge. The cabaret show was terrific. Both you and Dana made me feel right at home.

Richard,
It was my extreme pleasure to meet you! The cabaret was marvelous! One of the most enjoyable evenings out I've had in quite a while.
I was most impressed to see the supportive, loving community that attends your show. I think you foster that feeling, Richard, with your rapport- hmm that word is used too often for too many people- your family relationship with the audience. I had never seen you on stage before and I felt the love and the connection as soon as you began to speak.
I know that Carol wants to be remembered for her contributions to arts education, and she will. But what I'll remember her for (and I doubt I'm alone) is her unparalleled skill for making everyone she encounters feel like a life-long friend. You also have that skill in spades. As you're aware, an impersonator's basic responsibility is to emulate one's performance style and appearance so as to produce a believable homage on stage. It's clear to me that you've put extraordinary effort into going the extra mile and finding so much more to learn about Carol. When reviewers say "Richard Skipper IS Carol Channing" They must be talking about your voice and mannerisms, because they are stellar, but If they're smart they're also referring to your spirit, which I know has taken a few pages from Carol's carefully written book.
Not to bore you, I'll just say that her philosophies, and now yours, are things which I so hope to further understand and adopt because I know success is drawn to those who practice what they preach, "People's Just People."
Respectfully and thankfully,

Hi Richard, I am really looking forward to your one year anniversary show tonight at The Iguana. The one last week would be hard to top - it was such a great line-up and it was an honor to be a part of it. Congrats on one year at The Iguana! Toi, toi! Lori Evanson
