Tues June 5/07 at Helen's--Richard you were great; you're just Carol Channing on that stage! I've loved her all my life. And it was special with Carol Channing in the audience, she entered the room and everyone applauded and she said "I haven't said anything yet". You made Carol's song, "Widow's Weeds" funnier this time -Well, We all just thought it was over! The song just got funnier. It was cute when Carol said to you onstage that she did not realize she was so beautiful and so wonderful a performer until watching you perform. WHEN will you become a star on the Broadway stage? Soon I hope; your show needs to be seen by MORE people! - Mikey

carol, (i always call her carol)
what a joy to be in the band for richards performance for the "other" ms. channing. one highlight was seeing her watch the video beforehand of her career. i don't think harry had seen all of the clips, either! then, the joke that ends w/ "walter mathau" really got a howl.
i had so much fun - thanks for having me be a part of it.

I am one of the fortunate guests to have been able to get into Helen's Hideaway Room in NYC for the recent benefit fund raiser. I could not believe that there was a waiting list of people begging to get into the show! I have never been to such an event like this and knew that this was going to be an extraordinary night. I was not disappointed either. It was a real honor to be a part of the audience, which was sprinkled with honored guest like Marge Champion, Rex Reed and above all else - Carol Channing! Yes, "the" Carol Channing was there to watch the show. I was right next to her table with a clean view of her gazing at the performance. At times she would grin from ear to ear and then turn to see how Harry was reacting. I could simply go on and on but I just want to tell you - this was a night I will not soon forget. Please be sure to see Richard's show - there is something in there to touch the heart of everyone! Hey - I know it touched Carol's. Thank you Richard.

2007 is rolling along so quickly and the sites have been so diverse and interesting. One of my most memorable evenings of theater was recently on board the GNI/SOURCE EVENTS cruise where the impeccable and mercurial Richard Skipper performed his one man homage to Carol Channing. It was dazzling, pithy, and very engaging. This was my second time seeing Richard Skipper perform and his artistry is worth your time.
Ciao for now!
Be well and travel often!
Sincerely,

I have known and worked with Carol Channing for many years. But now that I have seen the hilarious Richard Skipper and Carol Channing in the same room, I don't know who entertains me more. This is getting confusing. "Hello, Richard."
"Sorry, it's Carol, don't you know."
"Hello, Carol."
"Aren't you sweet, it's Richard."
Oh well, I'm just going to sit back, enjoy, and applaud them both. Rave reviews...from REX REED
