On April 14th I get to see yet another outstanding, amazing and entertaining performance by Carol at the Musicians' Hall in NYC. It was certainly not my first performance and it is most definitely not my last.

What a completely enjoyable, entertaining show! Richard Skipper, aka Carol Channing, takes complete command of an audience and handles any situation with quick-witted charm. The diamonds(aka rhinestones) may be faux, but the show is fabulous -- and the warmth is genuine! I look forward to interviewing His Elegance on my Internet Radio Show: Creative Conversations with Dr. Sue.

I have been a fan and friend for so long that I sometimes take for granted how talented Richard Skipper is. Well, he gave us all a big reminder at a recent performance! With his back up singer dashing off the stage – having been suddenly struck ill – Richard, as Carol Channing, bravely carried on and actually made the comedic most of a potentially awkward situation. He really knows how to think on his feet, that one!
But even more admirable, to me, is the great love and care he takes in channeling Ms. Channing. He held me positively mesmerized as he performed the “Ephraim, Let Me Go” monologue from Hello, Dolly! before launching into a breathtaking rendition of “Before The Parade Passes By.” During those times, I felt like Richard completely disappeared and he was absolutely possessed by the spirit of Carol Channing! In that sense, Richard Skipper works the best kind of theatrical magic! Bravo, Richard!

Richard Skipper is amazing, whether he's being Carol Channing or Richard Skipper. He is one of the most giving performers I've ever worked with, and has never failed to please an audience.

This is to show our great appreciation for Richard Skipper for his generosity of spirit and talent in agreeing to MC our 2nd Annual Broadway in Bloomfield fundraising event held on Monday, March 26, 2007.
I first worked with Mr. Skipper when we booked him for our Guest Artist Series. His tribute of Carol Channing was so wonderful, and his knowledge of not only Ms. Channing but the whole era was astounding. More impressive was his sheer talent and ability in working the audience and making them all feel like they were personally touched by one of the entertainment’s finest.
We were so pleased that we immediately booked him again for our following season. Once again, he did not disappoint, and was a total pleasure to work with. How refreshing it is to not only work with great talent, but to have that delivered in such a warm and giving person as Mr. Skipper. His professionalism is evident in the people he surrounds himself with as well-from his music director to his web master-all carry the high standard that Richard himself demonstrates.
When we needed someone to host our event, Richard was the first person I thought of. He was more than willing to participate and even volunteered to assist us in putting the show in order along with our Music Director Larry Hockman.
We are currently under negotiation to have Richard appear for the 3rd time in our venue, and as always, we and our patrons look forward to a wonderful evening of great song, story and nostalgia.
I strongly recommend that you add Richard Skipper to your line-up!
