City, State: New York, NY Website: http://members.aol.com/dickbarclay Comments: I have seen Richard Skipper's exciting 'Carol Channing' Show many, many times. Each time it amazes me how fresh and alive his performance always is. He has captured the essense, the talent, the passion and the love of performing that made Carol Channing a star. Richard Skipper has certainly earned his stardom in our wonderful world of show business. He is not only a beautiful performer, he is a beautiful person, inside and out. I am very proud to know him as a performer and as a friend.

City, State: NYC Website: http://www.ErvinDrake.com Comments: AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL: Today is the kid's 88th Birthday. It will be celebrated tonight at Helen's. I shall sing "Who Are These Strangers?" which will be most appropriate because all receipts go to SYLVIA'S PLACE. The entire affair will be overseen by Richard Skipper who will be Carol Channing once again. Next to K T Sullivan and Mark Nadler, Skipper's show is the best on the cabaret circuit. And when he sings "Widows' Weeds" which I wrote for Channing fifty years ago and she recorded, the laughter in the room will be of such a dimension that it will show up on the Richter Scale in L.A. So, skip a seder evening and come see us! Ervin Drake |
