I was so proud of you! Your new show with the back-up singers is even more elegant than before. Your Carol could entertain any group and I hope you have the best yet to come. City, State: Philadelphia, Pa Comments: I saw Richard perform his show for the fourth time (getting to be quite a fan) in Malibu, Ca. I am amazed how this gentle, pleasant man quickly changes and becomes the incredible likeness of Ms Channing. His look, his voice, his great sense of humor, and his audience interplay all combine to make his show truly top notch. He does not lip sync, is in no way a drag" act, but is the personification of Ms. Channing. Although his show was extremely popular with a gay audience, I think it would be equally as popular with the straight since it isn't campy or in poor taste but is in fact an incredible tribute to the incredible talents of Ms. Channing.
City, State: Long Beach, CA Comments: I saw a fantastic impersonation of Carol Channing at the West Coast Men's Gathering in Southern California. Richard Skipper played the part of Carol Channing to a tee. He was AMAZING! I was fortunate to meet Richard personally and was impressed further by his knowledge of Carol Channing's career and life. It is obvious that his work is his passion. Continued good luck. Mike K.
City, State: Carpinteria, California Comments: I had the great fortune of meeting Richard Skipper who proved to be a genuine Prince of a man. When I found out he impersonated Carol Channing I was convinced to see his performance. All I can say is UNBELIEVABLE! I had the most eerie feeling that I had spent the evening watching Carol perform live. Richard was so DEAD ON I had to keep reminding myself that this was the gentleman I had met earlier. If anyone is familiar with Carol Channing I insist you take in a performance by Mr. Skipper. His amazing voice can blow you away on it's own but coupled with his impersonation creates a synergy rarely seen! I am looking forward to the next time I can see Richard Skipper perform. His vocals are perfect, his costumes are incredible, and I hope I get the chance to see him perform in the future. If you own a club/bar/venue, you need to book him for a show.
