Regarding Richard's brand new show: Richard's beautiful soul shone through, and his stories were fascinating. And the voice!! Full of passion, with a beautiful timbre. Bravo, my friend!!

Richard Skipper's show on Sunday was even greater than the sum of its parts. Yes, the musical selections and the stories were captivating, and Michael McAssey's accompaniment was impeccable. But, beyond that, I found myself 'sensing' lighting and background changes that were suggested by Richard's commanding presence. It takes an amazing talent to create that kind of theatrical magic.

This is the second of Richard's shows I've had the delight to be part of. Yes, part of, thanks to his gift of being able to draw his audience into the wonderful world of his energy and enthusiasm in storytelling through music, laughter, tears of joy, and spontaneity. Yes, his vocal and theatrical genius are great but what I appreciate most about Richard and his talent is the felt spirit of love he has for the art, artists and audience that are invited into his celebrations.
THANK YOU, RICHARD! I'm sure you'll wow them in Washington!

Richard Skipper's performance at Roost on March 5th was an absolute delight. He moves from songs of heartfelt sweetness and nostalgia to colossal bursts of vocal Broadway style energy, ribald humor and captivating, often spontaneous storytelling. The audience laughed and sighed through memories of his hopes and and fearless show biz history. We all need this show right now! Have yourself a good time enjoying Richard and his chemistry with marvelous pianist, Michael McAssey, no slouch in the vocal department, either. Get out and go! You'll be glad you did.

Enjoyed the March 12 show at The Roost! Richard always has interesting and funny stories to tell—loved the idea of questions from the audience that prompted those fantastic stories! The song choices fit in seamlessly.
Even the surprise guest was a great fit!
Michael McAssey brilliantly accompanied.
