What a fun, lovely, loving interview with Carole Cook. It was such a pleasure to see Carole, Lee Roy Reams, and David Galligan together, and I thank you for making that happen, Richard. It continually amazes me that my aunt Carole still has such drive, spirit, and enthusiasm for performing and for engaging with people in general. Having watched and enjoyed several of your direct interviews as well as segments fondly remembering significant personalities (Judy Garland and Jerry Herman come to mind), I was aware of your desire to seek out and “Celebrate” the best talents of each individual fortunate enough to be featured. Your time with Carole was no exception. Richard, your ability to recognize, honor, and highlight Carole’s best qualities made for an immensely enjoyable, lively, at times poignant hour.
Thank you, Richard Skipper!

Incidentally, my first time to view a performance of Carole’s (and my very first live theater experience) was when she appeared in the title role of “Auntie Mame” in New Braunfels, Texas. I recall watching her glide down the iconic “Beekman Place” staircase, seeing her pull a fox from her jacket, and generally command the stage. I was four-years-old, and I was allowed to sit on my knees in my seat in order to look past the adult heads in front of me. In hindsight it strikes me as prescient that I should have initially viewed her as everyone’s favorite aunt, Mame Dennis, since Carole shares much of that fictional character’s joi de vivre, and the role provided a kind of template for our enduring relationship.
(As an aside, luckily Carole did not pursue her interest in Greek drama. A performance of “Medea” with Carole in the title role would undoubtedly have made an entirely different impression on four-year-old me.)

I sincerely thank Richard Skipper for the opportunity to share our journeys and more than anything make a new friend!
His southern hospitality and graciousness kept me grounded in my humble beginnings. I was having a “full circle moment.”
I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship and a lifelong collaboration!
He inspired me beyond words to stay in the game of life!
Long live King Richard and of course my dearest friend and daily prayer warrior Tess La Bella! You are the best!

Richard Skipper Celebrates Carole Cooke: July 23, 2022
I sat on the edge of my chair the entire time, Caroles's stories had me laughing and crying the entire show, sometimes at the same time! The chemistry between all 4 of you was amazing. (Richard, Carole, David Galligan, Lee Roy Reams).
After this show, I fell even more in love with Carole than I ever was. She is so sharp, honest and warm, and would love to see her pen a memoir, I would definitely order a copy! Carole and Richard, I love you both, thank you so much for a great hour!

What a pleasure to be on Richard's show with Maria and Dr. Judi. I was so impressed with the questions, Richard, Judi and Maria's own thoughts and the general feel of the show. Richard asked what habits we want to ACQUIRE for the next 30 days. What a great idea. Richard really gave space for answers and Dr. Judi offered a very calm coda to the whole event. This is the best group interview I've ever done. Kudos to Richard and Dr. Judi. Oh, and catch my show this Thursday, July 28, 2022 @ 700pm at The Tank NYC. It's called WHIRLWIND and it's all about my love for the historic figure Lawrence of Arabia. www.TheTankNYC.org

I was on the call when Sue Phillips the Queen of fragrance was interviewed by Richard. This was the most heart warming call I have ever been on! Sue shared her story and journey through life and I was in tears 😭. She is such a wonderful person and I can’t wait to see the things she’s is working on come to fruition. Keep bringing light to the world Sue and also Richard Skipper was absolutely incredible. To be able to see the value he bring for people of all backgrounds was admirable and I hope people read this because what Richard has done was reveal to me through Sue the power of fragrance and for that I’m thankful. I had no idea the benefits and I’m now awakened. Thank you
