City, State: Largo, Florida Comments: Dear Dear Richard - it was so wonderful to watch your show on Barbra Streisand. So wonderful to see your smiling face - I had so many wonderful memories of our times together in NY. I settled down in Florida and share a place with Lew (my friend from Queens)- we watched your special together. Believe it or not - and you know what a big Barbra fan I am -I never saw her performance that you played on the Judy Garland Show - the elegance, the perfection, the performance - sheer magic. Thank you. Joe

City, State: NYNY Website: Mendstretch.org Comments: Richard Skipper, i've done plenty of interviews in my days, but yours was amazing. It was so easy to speak with you. Your witt, charm and skills made our interview a pleasure. I wish they were all like yours. Thanks so much for having me on your show. John Paolillo: Mendstretch.org
City, State: New York Comments: Thank you Richard for such a delightful session! To inspire and uplift thru music, and preferably thru a collaboration with a contemporary lyricist and composer - is pure heaven! I so enjoyed exploring "Cosmic Connections" on every level with you.I really feel that it's not 6,but closer to 3 degrees of separation. WE are all much more closely connected, than we think. And I think this world would be a much better place if could value these connections and celebrate the differences.Much light and laughter, Maureen
City, State: London, UK Comments: I have thoroughly enjoyed your series of Richard Skipper Celebrates! You have the most wonderful interviewing style and bring out the absolute best in your guests. You most certainly enable them to show their worth! It is simply joyous being able to hear your guests' stories and seeing the delight they have in reminiscing. What inspiring people they all are! I have watched so many, they are all simply wonderful. Your interview with George Chakiris ... the picture of you both watching clips of him dancing was fantastic! I hope you captured some screen shots, your expressions were priceless! So, you may be wondering how I came across you....Harvey Evans! I avidly follow the Broadway Remembered FB site. I was struck by his wonderful, beaming smile and drawn into reading all the incredible tributes. Of course, I had seen him in WSS and then started to recognise his face from other films and clips as watched them on You Tube. I then went down the Google rabbit hole and discovered Dancers Over 40....his legacy awards event, the choreographer series he did with Lee Roy Reams as well as the workshops were simply amazing. I have been blown over by them all! I have watched so many clips in which he featured and where he was interviewed, some difficult to find, but worth it - such great discoveries! As I enjoyed watching you compering the Legacy Award events, I started to explore you and your range of work. That is how I discovered your Celebrating Series - what a find! I have watched too many shows to mention. Linking back to Harvey Evans, I guess the most special ones include the tribute evening you had for him and the ones you have had with his friends Lee Roy Reams, Donna McKechnie, Pam Myers and Sandy Duncan. Again, I was familiar with some of their work but not their names. What special people - so talented, grounded and kind. You definitely bring out each of your guests' best! I look forward to watching more of your wonderful interviews and listening to your fabulous guests. We definitely all need a Skipper on Board! With thanks and all good wishes for your good health and happiness. Sara Wolfson, London, UK |
