Loved spending time with Richard Skipper Celebrates on December 1st. Richard gives a terrific interview along with a good shot in the arm of happiness. xo KZ

I’m not always able to catch “Richard Skipper Celebrates” live but recently was able to watch two of Richard’s interviews in real time. The first was with Christina Bianco,a performer I only became aware of in the last few years but knew very little about out. The other? Adrienne Barbeau, who I’ve loved since I was kid and would sneak and stay up past my bedtime to watch MAUDE. (it was the days of the “Family Hour”)

Bianco! Such a fun, charming and engaging interview! And frankly, just what I needed that day. I am now such a fan of hers now. She’s someone to watch!

Barbeau? I was in junior high school before I knew of her theatre background. Loved learning her backstory, especially the insights into what trying to break into the theatre scene was like in the 60s/early 70s.

Richard is always on point, prepared, has done his research and whenever I have seen him, allows the conversation to flow naturally with his knowledge and experiences more as a spring board than a rather flat Q&A session. His interviews are never dry or formal; more like dining with friends. Whenever I think “Richard Skipper” I think positivity, humor and most importantly, gratitude and kindness.

Another of his skills? Well, I’m ordering Barbeau’s autobiography (which honestly I had forgotten she did) and wildly anticipating her current collaboration book project on the development of GREASE. Neither of which were on my radar.

Hi Richard,
I don’t stop into your shows, mostly because of the time difference, but I’m acutely aware of what you do for our community, and I want to thank you for that. Your support of everyone is truly amazing. It’s tough to get motivated in these trying times, and it’s tougher to stay motivated, and keep the momentum going, but despite any momentary setbacks, you’ve continued to plow forward and give voice to so many deserving artists.
I applaud you and appreciate you!!!
Thank you!
Warmest regards from chilly London,
Harold xxx

Thank you, Richard Skipper, for having Broadway's own Karen Ziemba on your show today (12/1/20)...I feel like I just got a little early Christmas present!  As a person who adores Julie Andrews and Linda Eder, I have watched My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies dozens of times:  I skip over some stuff now, but NEVER Karen Ziemba...that video made a big fan out of me although I have never been able to see her in a show on Broadway!  I enjoyed getting to hear about her show biz journey.Thank You Richard!
