City, State: Brooklyn, NY Comments: I saw Richard Skipper's show and just wanted to let him know how much I enjoyed it. I knew before I went that he is an excellent performer and I would probably enjoy it anyway and I did. Besides loving his singing voice, he is an excellent storyteller and did that as beautifully as he sings. All in all a very enjoyable evening. I hope he keeps on performing and my Husband and I look forward to seeing him again in the very near future. Thank you. Cornelia B. Marthon,Brooklyn, NY
City, State: New York, NY Website: www.SingingExperience.com www.APSSinc.org Comments: Richard Skipper's splendid show "From Conway to Broadway" was the culmination of years of extensive experience singing in theater and cabarets, helping him become the great Showman, Performer, and Producer that he is today. Am honored that he will be performing this remarkable show at The American Popular Song Society at The Green Room 42 on February 8th, 2020 to celebrate this great achievement and his birthday! So proud of you and the best is yet to come! Linda Amiel Burns: http://www.APSSinc.org

City, State: NYC Comments: I had the most splendid time at An Evening with Richard Skipper: From Conway to Broadway on August 5, 2019. Richard is an extraordinary entertainer, and he has learned his craft from the best. Miss Channing would have been proud. I loved hearing about the young 'Ricky' in Conway. He delivered his stories with delicious specificity. Bryon Sommers provided a marvelous musical bed. CONGRATULATIONS. Joshua Ellis, NYC
City, State: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Website: http://inneralchemy.online Comments: It would be hard to single out one interview, episode or performance that is my favourite. But we're especially loving the interview with Concetta Bertoldi. She reminds me of so many of the lovely ladies in the neighbourhood, who were Benedicaria, and who were kind and supportive of my growing up a stregone mago (Italian witch). Delightful!! And her gift is palpable. Richard puts his guests at ease, and brings so many important topics to the forum of life. His interview with Ellen Matzen and Valery Hughes (authors of Nurses on the Inside: Stories from the HIV/AIDS Epidemic in NYC) is a classic example of that. Not f'nothin', but better that Merv has crossed over to theOther Side, because Richard Skipper would have been some serious competition for Miss Griffin. #JustSayin |
