Comments: Richard is an amazing performer and a wonderful person who I have known for more than ten years, and every time I attend one of his shows I am impressed by his talent and professionalism and inspired by the joy and love he shares. This new show is amazing, not only because of his presence as an actor and his talent and hard work as a performer, but because the stories and experiences he shares are inspiring, uplifting, funny, tender and moving. To me a brilliant interviewer gets his subject to open up, relax and feel safe. Richard did all that and more. His questions were so perfect and springboards for me to talk talk talk! We chatted about coming to NYC the fall of 1979 as babes in the big apple, synchronicity, trajections, set backs, strides, Elizabeth Taylor, and most of all NEVER GIVE UP. Tho he was promoting my solo play Woody's Order! which played at none too fragile Theatre in Akron, Ohio August 16th-31st, I wish everyone could see his upcoming show September 28 at Theatre of the Republic in his hometown of Conway, South Carolina.
