He gives everyone involved in the making of the global phenomenon of “Hello, Dolly” full credit and deservedly so. His stories about Carol Channing and the many other greats he has known and worked with make for a completely fulfilling evening in cabaret. He is unique. He is hysterical. He belts as good as it gets and looks marvelous doing it. ps His multi media show including folks that have played Dolly like Beth Leavel, Tovah Feldshuh and Ruta Lee are a joy to behold! Richard is so full of joy, passion and love, which spreads to every member of the audience. The show is meticulously researched and paced. Richard was in great form and voice as always. I know Carol Channing was smiling down with love and pride. Bravo, Richard!

There was so much nostalgia but also new interesting stories I hadn’t heard. Top it off with wonderful guest cameos and musicians and it made for a well crafted truly enjoyable evening!! |
