He makes an interview seem like a conversation, probably because he comes prepared. He allowed us to get to know Carolyn Quinn and share in her knowledge and talent as the author of Mama Rose's Turn. His welcome to everyone attending--one at a time--was gracious and heartfelt, setting the mood for an enjoyable experience.
Comments: What a wonderfully informative and fun evening with Carolyn Quinn and Richard Skipper! I was so happy to be able to be there! (Barnes & Noble, November 1st, 2013 NYC) As for the book, "Mama Rose's Turn," I devoured it over the weekend. A must read for anyone even remotely interested in Rose, Gypsy and June, and/or family dysfunction. Brava, Carolyn!

City, State: Eliz., New Jersey Comments: Last night's (Nov. 1, 20 book-signing by Carolyn Quinn of her book, "Mama Rose's Turn" had a full-to-capacity crowd in attendance as she gave an excellent interview and extended a tantalizing invitation to read her fact- filled and intriguing book. She also introduced to many of us, for the first time - Richard Skipper. His thought- provoking questions and comments, wittiness, sense of humor and wonderful speaking voice made you feel like you wish you could have sat there for at least another hour. Carolyn seems to be on a roll when it comes to her "detective work" and has more stage mom- themed book ideas on the front burners and possible plans for collaborations in the Hollywood area. Way to go, Carolyn- your fan club is growing and anxious to hear more about your future ventures. Kudos to Carolyn and to a new fond acquaintance, Richard Skipper. Tina Padas-Mavroudis.
