City, State: Buffalo, NY Website: www.CocktailsandCreamPuffs.com Comments: I am the host of Cocktails and Cream Puffs, a weekly gay comedy, pop-culture podcast and I had the great pleasure of interviewing Richard Skipper. Richard is the easiest interview one could ever ask for because he is charming, intelligent, mesmerizing to listen to and above all an endless fountain of stories and knowledge. In my opinion Richard Skipper is one of the greatest Broadway historians of modern times. When people are interviewed by Richard, they want to tell him everything. He not only leaves with the true story but also the location of the vault and the combination. This is simply because he instantly makes you feel safe and protected. He radiates a warmth and love for his subjects and his art that is true and pure and with out malice. When I was a young performer working at different stock and regional theaters throughout the country (before the internet and Facebook) one of my favorite things was meeting different actors and theatre people and listen to their stories of old Broadway. I carefully committed them to memory to ensure I could share them with upcoming generations of performers. Sadly, I have found much of that has disappeared but this is where Richard Skipper comes in. Richard has the keys to the kingdom and he is more than willing to share!

Comments: A comment after appearing on Jimmy Ferrarro's Theater Chat This n That: Loved this show SO much! From Mr. Skipper's endearing story of determination & perseverance as a young man moving to NYC and the details of getting his first lines on stage along with all the tidbits of fabulously interesting information about the theatre - hard to believe NYC does not have a theatre museum - the prospect of having a 'Broadway Walk of Fame' is so exciting....I got very excited with all the news of NYC!!! Thanks for a great show.
