He was the first to welcome us to the stage at his wonderful variety show at The Iguana, when we were brand-new in town, and he has been a supportive friend and role model ever since. David and I are honored to have been the subject of Richard's blog, and loved the opportunity to share some of our thoughts with Richard's readers. I felt empowered from my first meeting with him, and the interview was great because of him. Comments: I had the good fortune of attending Richard's interview with author/actress Peggy Pope Friday, May 11th at Barnes & Noble on the Upper East Side in NYC. It was a celebration of the release of her memoir "atta girl". I recalled her performance in the film Nine to Five as the recovered lush/office worker.
