Richard is a generous, astute, and eloquent interviewer. I was honored to receive an invitation to share time with him and discuss the Off-Broadway premiere of my 1-woman musical, "Baggage at the Door." The themes and subject matter within "Baggage at the Door" center around PTSD patterns & recovery which are informed by my own personal life experiences; Richard deftly crafted questions about my writing & performing processes with a tender hand. As a new playwright getting my first opportunity on the Off-Broadway stage, Richard asked things about my work that I've never been asked before, and it was wonderful to realize that he was truly curious and interested in my process and creative execution. Through our whole conversation, I felt plum lucky to be there. He's supportive, he's charming, he's an incredible light shining like a beacon of joy to celebrate so many different kinds of theatrical offerings within our ever-changing industry.
