I had the honor of seeing Richard Skipper last night performing, and fell in love with Him. I have no doubt that he ARE Carol Channing.
He is fabulous!
The show was funny, witty and very pleasant to watch. Richard portrayed her as a loving warm and likeable person. Never out of character.
He is very very talented. I had such a good time I didn't want it to end.
By the way, as soon as I got home, I got on the phone and told my friends about Richard and the great show. I also e-mailed the info about his show to my e-mail list.
Thank you again.
Oh, and thank you for the big diamond ring that you threw my way. I love it.

It was so great to see Richard Skipper as Carol last week. I don't know if one can technically "channel" a person who is still alive, but that seems to be what Richard is doing with our Dolly.
As one who studied acting for many years, though, I especially appreciate the CRAFT that goes into his performance. I'm afraid that the tribute is so dead-on and the knowledge of Carol's life so thorough that many people might miss what a terrific ACTING job Richard is doing -- in the songs, in the monologues, and in the improvisational interactions with audience members. The speech to Ephraim was so nuanced and emotionally rich that (dare I say it) I think it may have surpassed the original.
MUCH SUCCESS with the show in more venues and with all the engagements in the future.
All my best,
Dave

Loved it, loved it, loved it! The larger "environ" worked perfectly for the show. Every time I see Richard Skipper's shows, I seem to learn something new about Carol. It was also fun listening to people's comments who had never seen him perform. Everyone was so impressed and had such a fun time watching Richard last night. I had planned to come with some friends on Sunday (today), but when I went on line to make a reservation, I realized the show ended Saturday. I'm so glad I was able to rush down to the theater and get a seat. The woman sitting beside me said she was on a standby list and barely got in. Thanks again for a wonderful evening.
Love,
Bob Armstrong

Without a doubt the evening spent the other night at the Wing's Theatre was a pure delight. My only complaint was that the evening came to a close. I truly hope that Richard Skipper will be back here in the Big Apple soon.......we need, and do appreciate, his talent. Continued success wherever he performs.

I had the best time! After the first three minutes, I forgot I was watching Richard Skipper and became completely enthralled by Carol Channing.
I'm sorry this current run is at an end, but I'll be looking forward to seeing Richard again in a bigger theater--and soon.
Love,
Eve
P.S. I will treasure--and wear--my "Carol" diamond ring.
