I want to urge you not to miss Richard's new show at the Wings Theatre. It is an expanded full theatre piece with additional talented cast members and musicians. Most importantly it gives Richard the opportunity to show what a consummate actor he is...in the fullest sense of the word. This is no mere "female impersonator" performance, tho that aspect is brilliantly carried out,but a really moving, touching dramatic presentation of a flesh and blood human being. One laughs, one is almost brought to tears,a full gamut of emotions are evoked in his audience. The theatre is in a large building at 154 Christopher Street.GO! I think you'll thank me.LynneCharnay

What can I say?... Richard's performance as Carol Channing is not to be missed... This wasn't a night with Richard... This wasn’t an evening of caricature... This was quality time with Carol... Every moment filled with the warmth, love and zest for life of a true jewel of our time.

We were very much entertained by Richard Skipper's Dazzling and clever performance. He has perfected Carol to a tee and has managed to keep her image alive and fresh and I'm sure she must be delighted. We thought he stayed in perfect character both in voice and look and his costumes, hair and jewelry were right on target. We enjoyed the trio of boy dancers and singers and loved their song "It Only Takes a Moment". Richard Skipper is a fine entertainer and we send our best to him and look forward to his next performance.

With CAROL CHANNING IN CONCERT, Richard has accomplished the amazing feat of putting on his best show yet--a joy from start to finish. With his lively musicians and backup chorus, he thoroughly evokes not only Channing but the shows and films in which she starred. As someone who saw the original HELLO, DOLLY! (and the most recent Broadway revival), I can tell you those Gower Champion-like moves make you feel like you're reliving the actual experience. Richard transcends impersonation. He gives one of those rare performances (like Isabel Keating as Judy Garland in THE BOY FROM OZ and Martin Landau in ED WOOD), where you feel like you're seeing the actual icon being portrayed.
