I wish I was able to put these words in the NY Times. - I was touched throughout the show by Richard's warmth and truth. HE IS CAROL. There is no separation. He never drops that reality. Yes, it is a heightened reality but only because Carol's life has been lived on a heightened level. There is no unnecessary added theatricality - yet it is theatrical, because the truth of the situation is theatrical. Miles Phillips did a fabulous job of directing. Skipper's three back up boys are truthful at every moment - even when the numbers are stylized, they are true in the style. The "book" of the show as well as the numbers held my interest throughout. I'm also good at feeling audiences. They were with Richard. I felt tears at times, enthusiasm at times, and totally silly at times. He never lost me for a second. Carol is, indeed, blessed to have Richard Skipper performing this show. Thank you! Bobbie Horowitz

Bravo! Richard Skipper's performance was wonderful as always, and the show as a whole is spectacular. Everything from the scenery, choreography, costumes, the singing/dancing boys, and script are the best yet. I can't wait to see the show travel so audiences around the globe can enjoy too. Best of luck! Jeff Wolper

Richard Skipper keeps topping himself. His tribute to Carol never fails to amaze. As one of many who has seen Richard's show several times, I've said before and will say again that he possesses that rare ability to make one feel like they are watching him for the first time. For me, it's no longer about watching Richard capture the essense, voice and mannerisms of this great lady because her heart and soul are also up there on that stage with him. I'm so happy for him in this production, which was so adeptly directed by Miles Phillips, at the Wings Theatre.

I smiled from ear to ear throughout the show. The stories and the music are wonderful. Richard Skipper IS Carol Channing!

BRAVO/A, RICHARD/CAROL!
The show was wonderful tonight! I loved every minute of it. Haven't laughed like that in a very long time. Richard Skipper's use of whatever is happening in the moment with the audience was nothing short of brilliant. I will never forget Carol singing while "she" removed the backpack from the audience. (You had to be there!) The guys were a sweet addition and their singing was beautiful. I especially loved BLONDS. They were all wonderful together. But Richard and Carol reign as always. Many thanks for a great night!
