I've seen him perform several times in the past, but this evening was particularly stellar...Skipper truly embodies the spirit and essence of Carol Channing and judging from her reaction in the audience, she must feel that way too! It was amazing, and touching, to see him on stage and then glance over to Ms. Channing thrilling to his interpretations of some of her classic songs and moments, but flavored with his keen insights and gift of ad-lib! Skipper was amazing! I will always remember the "other" Carol Channing saying to him on stage "You must really love me." Skipper is a great performer and his performance that evening was spectacular. I hope he will be able to move this show to Broadway. It belongs there. Love Jenny |
