'Wow Wow Wow Fellas!' is right!! I know it seems cliche, but nothing about Richard or this show is cliche. Polished, professional and FUNtastic. Great Band, arrangement, back up singers.... who could ask for anything more! I'm so glad I was able to be at the debut (opening night at Helen's). Congrats Richard!

If you want to see what giving 100% of yourself as an actor/singer is on stage...go see Richard Skipper. This show was EPIC! I absolutely adored "the boys" singing backup as they were vocally and visually so "period" in that they further reminded us of where, in history, Miss Channing had her beginnings. The journey that Richard takes us on is along this time line so, the boys really added to the overall experience for me. The band was great. The show and Richard are almost too big for the room though. 9 folks on stage so physically too big (although it did work thanks to MAC Award winning Shane Mathews' ability as a sound man and the fact that Helen's does have one of the bigger Cabaret stages in town) but what I mean is this show belongs in an off-Broadway theatre. It's about an hour and a half long so it is literally ready to make this transition. Anyone with bucks out there wishing to maybe produce a great show about a great legend with a great cast...go see this show! This could be your next project! Congratulations Richard and to the entire cast and to Helen's and Shane for pulling this off...WOW!

We attended the premiere performance of "Carol Channing in Concert" starring Richard Skipper.
"Wow Oh Wow Fellas",what a great show! Many times during the evening we had to remind ourselves that the performer on stage, singing, speaking, and doing that wonderful monologue to Ephrom from "Dolly" was not the great C.C. herself but the great R.S. himself! Go and have yourselves a wonderful evening from beginning to end.
