Richard is the definitive MC/host/raconteur/performer, and he's the perfect ambassador for "Still Going Strong: Richard Skipper Celebrates 60 years of HELLO DOLLY!" His show is very much in the spirit of the Michael Stewart-Jerry Herman classic: tuneful, euphoric, life-affirming, touching, and memorable.
Through wonderful stories, interviews, photos, and film clips, Richard and his miraculous musical trio make 60 years pass by "in a moment." But it's Richard's ability to connect with an audience that reminds us why DOLLY is so special and will be going strong 60 years from now, thanks to Richard & Co.!

Richard Skipper's 60 years of Dolly was so entertaining and very informative. He really knows how to sell a song and to emcee a show! I loved the taped interviews of original cast members and various women who have played Dolly. He also had Lee Roy Reams tell some stories and sing a song. So, so good and interesting. But, best of all was Richard. You can't keep your eyes off him, he is so charming and so very talented. I highly recommend this show! There is an encore performance on Friday, March 29, 2024. And make reservations! Don't walk, run to his show at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in the West Bank Cafe!

I attended Richard’s Jan 16 show in Valley Cottage and was blown over. I knew he was a showman but was unaware of his vast knowledge of Broadway and his special connection to Hello Dolly, I am probably one of the few [if not the only] among his many admirers that knows little or nothing about Broadway nor had I ever seen Hello Dolly. I know I know….this is a big sin! Upon getting home, I checked out Barbara Streisand’s film version. I don’t know about the other Dolly’s but Streisand was amazing! Thank you, Richard, for opening my vision. I join the many others who have written glowing comments. Richard really knows how to connect with his audience making us all feel really special. That’s talent!
