I have know Richard over 20 years and he only grows as a performer. I would recommend Richard to any audience, director, producer, booker or actor for he gives 120%.

Anyone who wants to see a fabulous show, and feel as if they are in the presense of the great Carol Channing should go see Richard in person or hire him to perform. You will not be disappointed. I will follow Mr. Skipper wherever he goes. Richard Skipper's loving and heartfelt tribute to Carol Channing immediately captured my heart. Mr. Skipper is a Master in his craft, truly warm and he captures and personally engages EVERY audience member. Skipper's Carol Channing tribute is not at all insulting or saccharine or boring. Richard is the real deal who truly respects this legendary performer. An evening with Richard Skipper as Carol Channing, one forgets about the man underneath the make-up and wig. We see the beautifully talented Carol Channing! Every movement, comic aside, personal chit chat with the audience, biographical facts, are all brought to life and I continually believe it is the legend herself. I hope you will consider seeing Mr. Skipper as Carol Channing whenever the chance presents it's self. I became a fan and friend of Mr. Skipper's because his heart is so beautiful and he truly touched my heart every time I attend his Carol Channing show. I enjoyed the show very much...I think you nearly out chan Channing.... jewels and all, if you want to quote me 'A jewel of a performance from a dazzler who can convince you that 'Diamonds are a girl's best friend' a La Channing a.k.a. I have been a fan of Richard for many years, and seeing him portray Carol in many roles, I still am not able, to differentiate who, the REAL Carol, is. It is truly amazing and something you must witness yourself. This is an honest testimonial and I defy anyone to disagree after seeing Richard perform on stage. He is a true craftsman in the role; dedicated to his profession and truly incomparable to anyone else who has ever portrayed Carol Channing on any stage. Richard’s performances are commanding; his expression, his demeanor, his authenticity is unsurpassed. If you are casting for the role of Dolly Levi, you will be committing a grave mistake by not choosing Richard Skipper. Always dramatic, always with heart, always with soul, Richard always delivers.
