Richard what a pleasure it was to see you in "Hello Dolly"! All I can say is that your performance was pure BRILLIANCE and so true to her character! You carried the show as soon as you stepped off that train. The audience was glued to you. You had such great comic timing, that you channeled a little LUCY too. I can't wait to see what you do next. Thank you so much! Carol would be very proud.

Richard: I just LOVE to listen to you sing and watch you transform into Carol Channing! This was SO special to me - my first time in theatre - thank you for recommending me! Not only was I thrilled to work with such a wonderful cast, but I never tired of seeing you night after night at rehearsals .... in fact, I enjoyed every moment of it! You are FABULOUS Richard! I love working with you! You are a STAR! I just love you and your talent, as was obviously the feeling of that packed theater. I can't wait to do it again, and I surely hope I can work with you again!
Your fan forever!

I can ONLY echo what the previous two guestbook signers wrote about Richard's incredible performance Saturday in the Hello, Dolly! Benefit Performance for the Revision Theatre at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park. The show exceeded my expectations. I had the good fortune of seeing Carol Channing in her last run on Broadway some 10 years ago and she would surely have been pleased with Richard's performance. Way to go Richard! I look forward to seeing you again.

I was also at the Richard Skipper does Carol Channing in "Hello Dolly!" evening at The Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park. It was really a one-of-a-kind show with a one-of-a-kind performer at its center. A delight all the way, and when Richard-as-Carol-as-Dolly Levi (whew!) did the dinner scene with Horace, the entire audience laughed so much it cried. I also loved Dolly's asides and improvised bits (some with audience members). Kudos to everyone in the cast and crew and orchestra--and, especially to the divine Richard.

Jeez, Richard, and I thought your month-long theatrical engagement at New York City's Wings Theater this past January was the pinnacle. I'm very happy to be proved wrong. And anyone fortunate enough to have been at Asbury Park's famed Paramount Theater this past Saturday night will agree that THIS is the highlight.....to date (I'll not close the door again in case you have another surprise is store for us).
Imagine. Richard Skipper playing Carol Channing playing Mrs Dolly Levi in one of Broadway's best: the incomparable "Hello Dolly!". What a concept. Hat's off to whoever thought that up, and kudos to you for pulling it off with the style, affection and respect for the role that we've all come to know you for. It was a shining and thoroughly entertaining performance , and worth every gallon of gas it took to get me there from New York City.
Presented in concert to a packed house, with a full cast of professional actors and dancers, backed up with a live orchestra, and performed in the beautifully restored Paramount, it was a night that would no doubt have pleased and delighted Miss Channing herself.
You have much to be proud of. Can't wait to see what you're going to do next.
