Thanks for the terrific show presented Sat. evening at McCloone's Supper Club in Asbury Park, NJ. Richard Skipper is absolutely fantastic. Please let me know when he will be in the area again. I know so many people that would love to see this amazing tribute to an American treasure! I would also like to be on Richard's mailing list, if I can I'll be there and if I can't I will be sure to reccommend Richard to everyone i know.

RICHARD SKIPPER performing CAROL CHANNING at Tim McLoone's Supper Club August 2, 2008.
This had to be one of the most entertaining evenings I have enjoyed this summer, only second to his performance of Carol Channing as Dolly Levi in HELLO DOLLY!. Richard was in a word: "FABULOUS"! I'm already looking forward to his next appearance.

To all Theatre Lovers:
WOW! That’s the comment I heard over and over again as audience members with huge smiles on their faces left the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, NJ last month after having witnessed RICHARD SKIPPER starring as Carol Channing as Dolly Levi in the lavish musical HELLO, DOLLY!
As the ReVision Theatre, a newly formed regional theatre in Asbury Park, NJ, we wanted to produce a benefit performance that would bring to life a vibrant and immediate theatre unlike anything, anyone has ever seen before.
And Richard Skipper in the title role of HELLO, DOLLY! didn’t disappoint. In fact that would be an understatement. We became the rare participants in a magical performance that brought the excitement, glitter and glamour that was present in the original HELLO, DOLLY! production.
Most productions of DOLLY that are performed regionally today are, well quite frankly, dated and often times even dull. But Richard as Carol as Dolly brings new found life in a way that only Richard could. His portrayal of DOLLY is as close to the original as you can get and you immediately see once again why this show was the mega hit it was.
What is remarkable about Richard Skipper is that as Carol in the role of Dolly he is 100% believable. He doesn’t play it for camp or in any way demean the show or the role. Richard is so grounded in the world of the show, and so in character that every actor on stage with him is also brought into that world and can only respond truthfully and in the moment. Stylistically it is perfection. Ultimately the audience is carried along, blissfully immersed in the joyous world of musical theatre.
HELLO, DOLLY! is a star vehicle and requires a bigger than life personality. Richard was exactly that.
Sincerely,
Thomas Morrissey
