We saw the opening night of "Richard Skipper as Carol Channing" . The show was at the Wings theater and what a great show it was. Richard is so entertaining and such a talented performer. Looking forward to seeing more shows in the future. Kudos to you Richard.

Hi, Richard,
Four of us went to see the Sunday matinee thanks to Jannie Wolf and we really enjoyed the show. NYCity is tough and so are its critics, but you're a fine talent!
Good luck at Wings and elsewhere!

I have said this many times in the past and I will say it again...Richard Skipper is one of the finest performing artists in our business...and the nice part is that he really cares for everyone in his audience. He always gives his all in every performance . The show at The Wings Theatre was carefully crafted and directed by Miles Phillips, who certainly knew what he was doing. The stage setting was perfect to frame the show. Richard Skipper is in good hands. The trio of boys, Kristopher Monroe, Michael Hopewell and Rocco L. Arrigo, was the perfect choice to back-up Richard. They sang, danced and performed well. It was difficult not to think of the question for Richard.."Are you sure you are not really Carol Channing?"
Thank you, Richard Skipper, for giving us one of the most enjoyable evenings we've had in a long time. You are what the theatre needs more of!!!!

Having accompanied Carol (I always call her Carol) on many occasions and
having seen the evolution of this new project beginning with the run at
Helen's awhile back, I have to report that with Miles' direction, I think
this production really has legs, I mean wings- (it's at the Wings Theater).
I don't think I need to say anything about Richard's portrayal of Carol-
everybody already knows it's impeccable! But I liked the whole
presentation- the trio is the right size band, the background singers are
now brought into the foreground from time to time, the two acts with the
intermission work, the show is the right length, the stage set-up is
visually pleasing. Everything works.
Richard- I believe this is a package you can really sell. Wishing you all
the best with it.
And everybody else- go see this show!

I saw Carol Channing in Concert yesterday afternoon, January 20, at The Wings Theatre, Christopher Street. This was my first occasion to see Richard Skipper, and I was swept away by Carol. Absolutely fantastic. I'm sure it's been said but I will say it anyway, it WAS to hear Carol Channing. Great performance and all that great music. The male ensemble of singers, and the musicians, piano, bass and percussion, were excellent. An absolutely delightful experience. I went out into the cold January evening singing!
