City, State: Brooklyn, NY Comments: I had the best time with Richard Skipper at The Dutch Treat Club! Along with the divine Melissa Errico it was an evening of song, comedy and heart! Richard is a wonderful interviewer and entertainer and also a generous one. Thank you Richard !
City, State: NYC Website: GoldieDver.com Comments: Richard Skipper, Just want to let you know once again how wonderful your show was at the Salmagundi Club in NYC You definitely have a vehicle here, that shows off your varied talents to great effect. You’re singing better than ever! And your personality and interaction with us in the audience is so delightful! You’re the best at being able to be spontaneous, while maintaining a cohesive thread through your storytelling. There was an arc and shape to the show that worked, and the songs you chose enhanced each of the moments they were woven through. Dan’s sensitive accompaniment was the wind beneath your wings, and allowed you to soar. BRAVO!Goldie Dver, NYC
Comments: What a warm and spirited show you delivered to those who gathered on one of the nastiest nights of the year! Your charm and talent touched everyone, and the show itself was curated and presented beautifully. I could have stayed for another hour! And you looked fantastic!
City, State: New York, NY Comments: Dear Richard, You were a ray of sunshine last evening at your performance at the Salmagundi Club for the Coffee House! You turned a gloomy Wednesday into a celebration of life with your enormous talent and goodwill. So interesting to hear about your journey from South Carolina to becoming one of New York’s most iconic entertainers. Please come back soon-🙏 Bravo!!👍❤️👏🎶
City, State: New York, NY Comments: It was a dark and stormy night (no, I'm not about to write a melodrama;-) and cold and wet, I arrived at the Salmagundi Club in NYC to see Richard Skipper do a very brave thing......take cards just turned in by the audience, asking all kinds of questions that he'd not seen in advance. He answered anything we asked, often accompanying the answer with a relevant song, sung from his heart. Richard has a way of making EVERYone feel important, validated. He ended the evening by singing "Let There Be Peace on Earth," inviting the audience to join in as he repeated it. We all left with more hope than we arrived with. Thank you to this beautiful human being called Richard Skipper. |
